About the Role

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Cross Tie Robot Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for running and monitoring our Fanuc Robot system, which automates the process of stacking cross ties into organized bundles. This position is vital to maintaining efficient production flow while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.  

Key Responsibilities

 Robot Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor the Fanuc Robot system responsible for stacking cross ties into bundles.

 Production Flow: Ensure smooth cross tie feeding, bundle positioning, and material transfer through the robotic stacking station.  

 Quality Control: Inspect cross ties for defects before and after automated stacking to maintain product standards.  

 Packaging & Banding: Assist with securing, banding, and packaging stacked cross tie bundles for shipping and storage.  

 Basic Troubleshooting: Monitor robotic operations for basic faults or jams and assist with basic equipment resets and maintenance.

 Equipment & Material Handling: Operate forklifts or telehandlers as needed to move materials around the mill (training provided).  

 Safety & Mill Upkeep: Maintain a safe, clean work area around the robotic cell and assist team members with general mill duties as needed.  

Qualifications

 Previous experience in a sawmill, manufacturing, or automated production environment is helpful but not required.  

 Basic comfort level or interest in working with automated machinery and technology.

 Physical capability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift materials as required.  

 Strong commitment to workplace safety, dependability, and teamwork.  

 Willingness to learn new equipment and technical skills.  

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

 Prior experience operating Fanuc robotic machinery or similar automated industrial systems.

 Mechanical or technical aptitude.  

 Experience operating forklifts or heavy material handling equipment.
